Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

So i’ve been off the grid for a little while. Actually I’ve just been lazy and haven’t updated this blog. I’ve been doing some blogging for school. You can check that out at http://tutigertech.blogspot.com. I hope to have it changed to something related to Trinity but we’re waiting on that for now. Check me out there to get the latest updates on what I’m doing through work.

amy chapman makes it to the pro circuit

Monday, February 18th, 2008

Okay the title’s a little dramatic but I thought I would just give a shout out to my awesome wife Amy Chapman. She’s been getting more and more into the photography number and is actively pursuing wedding photography and other various genres of digital and film. She recently worked photography for the Gulfcoast Getaway weekend and had one of her pictures featured in the Christian Chronicle. Check out the picture it’s a pretty classic pose of Chris and Randy. We’re currently working on setting up her website and hopefully before too long we’ll be ready to release it out of Alpha and Beta stages.

great great great grandfather

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

My dad chatted with me on Gmail and sent some new pictures he had found of my Great Great Great Grandfather. His name is Henry Thomas he fought in the Civil war with the 15th Consolidated TN Calvary. He very likely fought in the battle of Nashville. He was married in 1866 shortly after his service in the military. Other than that there’s not too much else to share. Apparently he had a little money to play with compared to his surrounding neighbors. He mostly farmed but made some money cutting timber. The short of it is that Henry Thomas begot Hugh Thomas, who begot Hugh Ralph, who begot Lee Hugh, who begot Leslie Scott who begot me. So I just thought I would share that since it’s the first time I’ve seen these pictures as well.

i hate being sick

Monday, January 28th, 2008

For the last several days my wife and I have been dreadfully sick. We got back from Gulfcoast Getaway and within a few days fell quite ill. I have been aching all over my body, had chills, cough, sore throat, and a legion of demons coming out of me for about 5 days now. I can’t begin to tell you how long it’s been since I was this sick. I just don’t normally get this sick. Lesser mortals around me get sick it seems but I typically step over such specimens of Darwin’s Theory and carry on like anyone should. But this disease stepped up from it’s normal arena of participants and challenged me and I lost dreadfully. I have been pretty worthless unable to even read magazines or watch much television. The only solid food I’ve been able to ingest till recently were bagel bites if they can really be called solid food. But thankfully I am starting to feel better and I am able to sleep more often but I am still winded just moving around the least bit. I look forward to full health and will undoubtedly feel more compassion towards my sick brethren when I see them. Let me tell you also that ibuprofen in whatever form you can take it is a miracle drug. I was taking naproxen sodium (Aleve) with no luck but switched to ibuprofen and have seen far better results with general pain relief.
