I like reading. I like to read in binges. Reading is both instructional and therapeutic. I like to read things that are weird, challenging and affirming. So from time to time people are interested in some things I’ve read and so here is my list. It’s pretty small but I like what these people have generally had to say in some way or another or in some cases hated it. I will add to it and take away as necessary but for the most part it’s where it needs to be.

  • Scripture: I like the Hebrew and Christian the most but I’ve read many others.
  • Dallas Willard: Divine Conspiracy, Renovation of the Heart, and Hearing God etc.
  • Richard Foster: Celebration of Discipline, Simplicity, and his book on prayer
  • N.T. Wright: Simply Christian, Surprised by Hope and The Resurrection of the Son of God
  • John Ortberg: The Life You’ve Always Wanted
  • Brian McLaren: Generous Orthodoxy
  • Bruce Feiler: Walking the Bible
  • Plato: The Republic
  • Aristotle: Politics
  • Rob Bell: Velvet Elvis and Sex God
  • Sam Harris: The End of Faith
  • Rick Rusaw: The Externally Focused Church
  • Friedrich Nietzsche: Really anything is interesting. On the Genealogy of Morals I probably liked the best.
