Millennials will be the first generation of adults that forwent having children and will struggle as they take care of aging parents and, more importantly, themselves as they continue to age. We have not yet come to terms with how impactful that will be, but I can only imagine a loneliness epidemic unlike anything we’ve seen before will emerge.

Nursing homes filled with old people with no loved ones to check on them. Grim.

Social institutions will emerge and revitalize to help address the issue, but it won’t be enough.
